Zeelander 5: fluisterstil en volledig aanpasbaar

In mei zagen we al de eerste beelden van de nieuwe Zeelander 5. Het sportieve yacht is de eerste die de nieuwe naamstructuur van de werf uit Groot-Ammers gebruikt. De Z5 is de opvolger van de Z44, maar doet met een lengte 48 voet haar naam geen eer aan.

Zeelander heeft er namelijk voor gekozen om de aanduidingen voortaan af te ronden naar een enkel cijfer. Dat staat wel zo netjes. Er mag dan 'maar' vier in plaats van zes voet bij gekomen zijn, maar door de ruime opzet van de Zeelander 5 vergeet je dat verschil meteen.

Bibliotheek op het water

De door een dwarsscheepse doorsnede van 14 voet toegenomen ruimte in het interieur is echter niet de meest bijzondere eigenschap van de Z5. Zeelander oprichter Sietse Koopmans wilde het schip de stilste in zijn klasse maken, ongeacht de vaarsnelheid. Met behulp van geavanceerde isolatietechnieken zijn de Volvo Penta motoren amper te horen - en te voelen.

De klant heeft de keuze uit twee Penta D6-IPS500 of drie 650 motorpods. Het vermogen ligt naar keuze op 760 of 1440 pk. Met de sterkste optie vliegt de Z5 met een maximumsnelheid van 45 knopen over het water. Uiteraard in volledige stilte. Zeelander claimt dat alleen de boeggolf hoorbaar is. Bovendien produceren de generator en de airco slechts 46 decibel wanneer het yacht voor anker ligt.

Alles naar wens

Terug naar dat ruime interieur. Volgens Sietse Koopmans breekt de Z5 met standaard yachtbouw door de volledige aanpasbaarheid van het interieur. Alle elementen kunnen naar wens ingericht worden, maar om een richting te geven biedt de werf vier basisthema's aan: Classical, Contemporary, Modern en Nautical.

Wanneer een klant toch een specifieke wens heeft wat betreft de kleuren en het materiaalgebruik is dat uiteraard geen probleem, aldus Koopmans: "Het gaat voorbij aan de standaard, het interieur kan naar je precieze voorkeuren gecreëerd worden. Elk materiaal kan worden ingekocht en naar wens bewerkt worden. Zo kan het interieur een match worden van dat van je jet, landhuis of favoriete auto."

Openheid

De standaard layout van de Z5 bevat een grote suite in het achtersteven, met een V-vormige dubbele cabine voorin en een gescheiden douche en badkamer. De hoofdlounge biedt een panoramisch uitzicht dankzij het vele glas en heeft plaats voor zeven gasten in een riante eetruimte. Daarnaast beschikt de Zeelander over een elektrisch zonnedak, een inschuifbare ruit en een uitklapbaar zwemplatform voor maximale openheid.

2022

Met de Z5 zet Zeelander in op het exclusieve imago van de werf: "Bij Zeelander willen we mensen inspireren om buitengewoon te zijn. De Zeelander 5 is de belichaming van die filosofie. Een geavanceerd yacht dat zich onderscheidt en gepersonaliseerd kan worden naar de smaak van de eigenaar."

De eerste Zeelander 5 zal medio volgend jaar verschijnen.
