BOOT Düsseldorf definitief afgezegd vanwege corona

Vol goede hoop verplaatste BOOT de datum van de beurs van 2021 naar het voorjaar. In april moest het coronavirus toch wel zodanig onderdrukt zijn dat er weer ruimte zou zijn voor een beurs. Helaas, het aantal besmettingen in Nederland en Duitsland blijft maar te hoog. Het gevolg daarvan is dat er in 2021 ook alweer hordes evenementen worden afgezegd.

Lockdown

In plaats van een verdere verplaatsing van de beurs, kiest men er in Düsseldorf voor om BOOT 2021 te cancellen en dan maar te hopen dat BOOT 2022 wél door kan gaan. CEO Wolfram Diener van het beurscomplex in het Roergebied: "The continuing high level of infection and the fact that the end of the lockdown is not foreseeable for the time being make a resumption of trade fair operations at the end of April appear increasingly unrealistic. We have reassessed the situation with our partners and jointly decided to cancel boot 2021 early. Our priority is the health and planning security of our exhibitors, visitors and service providers. All activities will now be focused on the successful staging of boot 2022."

Volgend jaar is de beurs van 22 tot en met 30 januari gepland.
